To have your own pool is awesome. But if you intend to build your own pool, you will soon realize, that it is quite difficult and not cheap. But just imagine: you are back from work, your day was annoying, your neck hurts and you are really stressed out. And it's a really hot and sultry day. And now imagine you go to your own pool and jump right into the water. Now, how fine do you feel yet?
If you are in a bad mood you probably will not bother to drive to a lake, the sea or a public swimming pool after work. A beach at the sea is a great place to relax, as is a lake, but most of us have a long way to a place where you can take a swim. It's boring to lay around the whole day and at hot days many swimming areas are overcrowded. It was on such a day in the middle of thousands of people at a lake I started to think about a bigger project: Build your own pool!
I went from one vendor to the other always seeking for information to educate myself. I asked some people who had a pool already. I even asked builders and architects what it needs to build a swimming pool. But afterwards I saw that I have made some severe mistakes and should have been more careful with choosing some swimming pool parts. But after changing some parts and testing out different cleaning methods and chemicals I am very happy with my pool and cannot understand how I ever was able to live without it.
Many friends of mine liked my pool so much, that they also wanted to have a swimming pool. They asked me for advice and to help them. Of course I helped them, but different people have different preferences and so I could see the most different systems and swimming pool kits over the years. I learned what to keep an eye on and what possibly can go wrong with different types of pools. Really weird things happened when building the pools and with the maintenance. But at the end everybody was happy with his own pool.
